Fancy text questions
Is the text I type uploaded or saved anywhere?
No. The text stays in your browser tab and is remapped character by character into the Unicode styles. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is saved on our side, and nothing is written to your browser's storage, so once the tab closes nothing remains. The site sets no cookies and has no accounts; if an ad is shown, the ad network follows its own policies but still never receives your text.
What is Unicode fancy text?
Fancy text is ordinary text where each letter has been swapped for a lookalike character from another Unicode block, such as Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols. It is not a font. The characters themselves are different, which is why the styling survives copy and paste.
Where does fancy text work?
Anywhere that accepts pasted text: social media bios, chat apps, comments, and document headings. How a style looks depends on the fonts of the app you paste into; if the app has no glyphs for the characters, you may see boxes instead.
Where does it fail, and what about screen readers?
Screen readers announce the lookalike letters incorrectly or skip them, so styled text can become unreadable for blind users. It also fails in fields that strip non-ASCII characters, such as some usernames and form inputs. Keep important information in plain text.
How do I copy a style?
Click the Copy button next to the style, then paste it where you need it. If the button does nothing in an older browser, select the converted text by hand and press Ctrl+C or Cmd+C.
Why do digits look unchanged in some styles?
Unicode defines styled digits only for some styles, such as bold, double-struck, monospace, and sans bold. Styles without styled digits pass numbers through unchanged, so 2026 stays 2026 in italic or bubble.
